My closet has never looked so clean!

I've spent the morning digging out all the straggling summer items from my closet. Thank god they are gone! A huge weight is now off my shoulders. Now I'm off to find other essential ways of procrastinating!

One really good way has involved looking for another job. If you hear of anything vaguely related to publishing/business analyst/interface design/product management do let me know.

I've officially changed the story idea. No more dragons. I've moved on to something vaguely astrology-related.

Word count: 552

Cool Rachele, I have you bookmarked now on the bookmarks bar right next to "Absentee Voter Info" :D This isn't on the list of things you asked for links to, but I personally feel inspired by Grammar Girl. As close to writing as I get is my *$&@! thesis, which i haven't finished yet, and some lowly technical editing for work.. but all the same, Grammar Girl makes me feel good about doing it. Check her out & give her a listen. It's only a few minutes each podcast and doesn't count as procrastination... http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/default.aspx

Go Rachele, go! My advice is to try not to be a perfectionist. I know that's hard for you. But just write, write, write for the 50K words. Don't worry about the perfect plot. You can go back and rewrite and edit and revise later, but if you keep on changing things you will never finish by the end of the month. The point, as I see it, is to get the words out and practice.

And if you finish, Bacon and I will take you out to lunch next year after he arrives. And if you don't finish, you have to come change his poopy diapers for a week.
